Her Desert Treasure by Larie Brannick Review

SYNOPSIS

Inheriting her grandfather’s ranch is the perfect opportunity for Meg Reynolds to begin again. The land is her only chance to hold onto the last bit of family she had. But Jake Matthews has other plans. He says her grandfather wanted a horse refuge on the land, and despite the heat blazing between them, Jake will do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

What Jake realizes he wants is Meg, but someone’s threatening her and seems willing to kill her for her land. Meg doesn’t know who she can trust. When she’s kidnapped, it’s up to Jake to help rescue her before he loses the chance to tell her that he cares more for her than the land that stands between them…

REVIEW

Meg moved to Big Rock after being away for 5 years. Her last living relative her grandfather passes away and left her land.  She has plans she wants to do and so does Jake, a friend her grandfather had she didn't know about. It seems like no matter what either of them want it doesn't matter because someone else has plans too.

I felt this book was a little predictable but it was a nice little treat. It had a bit of everything from romance and comedy to a little suspense thrown in for good measure.

I enjoyed this book at first I was worried because it started a little slow but it managed to make up for it later. If your looking for a cute read that keeps you on the edge of your seat just a bit then this one is for you.
