Control Series (Control #1-4) by Lucia Jordan Review

The Control Series was a nice little read. It is four book in one all of them are small and stay on track for the same story. I guess because when I read them I read all 4 back to back I didn't feel like anything was missing with them being so short.

If I would have read them one at a time I might have been upset. Plus its such a great deal you can get it on Amazon for $2.99.

With that being said I enjoyed this story it had everything you would want in a short story. Romance, sex, drama, friendship, and even more. If you are looking for something just to pass time one day this is a read for you! It dabbles in some LIGHT BDSM but nothing to extreme.

Here, presented in one volume, are the four stories that comprise the 'Control' series by Lucia Jordan.

Lucia Jordan in 'Control', explores the psychological state and emotions felt by Nicole Jensen as she learns how to become a submissive. The mysterious and handsome Logan Whitmore invites her into a new world where she is exposed to every whim of his desires.

Nicole Jensen gets fired from her job, has a fender bender for which she gets a ticket, and catches her fiancé in bed with another woman--all before noon on a Friday afternoon. Unable to deal with any of it, she takes off to New York City to stay with her best friend. But before she makes it there, she stops at a local club, has a few too many drinks, and ends up in bed with Logan Whitmore, a sexy Dom who is intent on making Nicole his submissive.

Be warned that this ebook contains very hot and explicit descriptions of erotic activity and submissive training. Only mature readers should download this book.

Cursed Love (Cursed #1) by T.H. Snyder Review

This book really threw me for a loop! I felt like I was getting pulled in so many different ways I was going to be ripped in pieces!

Linc and Dalton are best friends have been for years, they grew up together and went through a bunch of craziness. Linc owns a tattoo shop they both work at, he also owns a duplex that he rents out the other side to.

Linc has a girl he is friends with benefits with names Jo, but when one night they get down and she tells him she loves him he says nothing and well that opens a can of worms of its own. So Jo leaves, and of course Linc is super upset about it.

Then we meet Etty she has had a horrible live basically being held captive the last 3 years by her "boyfriend" she finally escapes and ends up in Alabama where she meets Dalt in a dinner. He tells her hey I have a place you could rent. So why not she has nothing better planned so she does it.

This is where she meets Linc at first I though oh ok this makes since Etty and Linc are going to get together but it seems they start a friendship that seems like that have known each other there whole life. When Dalt shows interest in Etty all hell breaks loose because Dalt is know as a Wam Bam Thank you Ma'am kinda guy so of course Linc doesn't want that for Etty.

Now this book is not one from one or two peoples view its from three peoples view, Linc, Etty and Jo. I though it would make it a little to much but it seemed to work out fine. The problem is I go so invested trying to figure out what all was going on with all three and when I finally felt like I knew what was going on and wanted to see how it was going to play out all hell broke loose and then it ended! I was soooooooo not ready for it to end and I wanted to throw my kindle across the room when I realized it was the end! Now I have to wait for may to figure out what happened and well that just isn't fair! So good job T.H. Snyder you got me hooked and left me hanging, its ok I forgive you but only because I cant wait to see what is to come next!

Break Me (#1 of the In Plain Sight Series) by Autumn Stark Review

Well this book was ALL OVER THE PLACE! This is Abby's and Tony's story. Tony is a romance novel author and Abby is his editor. She has been in love with him since she started working for him four years ago. He of course acts like she is nothing more then a babysitter, maid, cook, and most of all the only person that can kick his butt into gear and get stuff done.

Tony and his on again off again girlfriend break up AGAIN and its whatever, till he see's pictures of her with other men in the papers the day after.

Tony looses it at that moment and is so pissed he just needs something and Abby is there so he takes her. It starts out as him just trying to break her, to make her his for whatever it is he wants. Its supposed to be a one time thing tell he just keeps at it whenever he wants and any way he want, Abby wants it she knows that it means nothing to him and she is just a warm body to take advantage of when he wants.

It all gets to real for Tony when Abby tells him she loves him, and what does he say? Nothing great that's for sure. So she waits for him to fall asleep and runs. She leaves her job her house everything.

When Tony realizes Abby is gone, he is pissed he also comes to realize that he doesn't know that much about her, he thinks of her as his best friend but knows nothing of her past or where she could possible go to run away.

This is where it gets interesting! You have to read this and see what happens I don't want to spoil anything so please just read it and see what real groveling looks like.

Rebound (Tryst Island, Book One) by Sabrina York Review

This was a hot quickie. I read it in just a few hours, it was fast but not to the point where I felt I was lacking anything. I kinda just jumped right into the story.

Kristi and her group have been best friends since college, they all own a vacation home together and go up on weekend to catch up and relax. This week she needs it more then usual her boyfriend for 3 years cheated on her and she caught him. Of course she broke up with him and then realized why were they together in the first place. She gets out to the vacation house and see's that Cameron is there. She has been in love with Cameron for ever.

When Cam tells her that he also caught his girlfriend with someone else she knows just how he feels.

Cam gets Kristi to play a game of hearts for a kiss, but he has plans to start with that and move to much more. Once they get started its like they just cant stop and it seems neither of them want to.

I loved all the extra characters, they were funny and just made the story that much better. This is a great read if your looking for something quick and steamy!!

Playing for Keeps (A Play Makers Book) by Kate Donovan Review

Erica is a hard working career women in advertising, one of the higher ups at her work had harassed her and her boss decided to make things ok with her he would allow her to make a presentation to the group and if they liked it they would go with hers if not that was her one chance tell farther down her career.

Her idea was picked up as long as they could get the Football player Johnny Spurling to get on board only problem? He does not do advertising ESPECIALLY not beer ones. But for Erica's idea to work for her beer commercial during super bowl Sunday Johnny needs to get on board.

When Johnny takes this meeting he knows that he isnt going to do it but takes the meeting anyways, when he sees Erica something about her makes him want to know her, to talk to her, to be with her. Only problem he is supposed to be focusing on his football and settling down. He is to marry a women he has never met because he made an agreement with his father to settle down and give him a grandson. But why cant he have fun tell after the super bowl?

When he decides to do the commercial for Erica so he can get to know her better, it was like an up and down roller coaster. I wanted Erica and Johnny to work out so bad but it kinds felt like everything was against them before they even got started. It was one thing after the next that seemed to be trying to push them apart, and then when you thought it was going to be ok and they were going to be ok, it would all turn crazy. I felt like Erica was a little bit to in her head. She kept over analyzing everything and I just wanted to shake her and be like GET IT TOGETHER. That being said this book will for sure keep you on you heels. Definitely a hot one to pass the time.

Stroke of Love (Love in Bloom: The Remingtons #2) by Melissa Foster Review

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS ONE! For me it was even better then Game of Love book one in the series. Sage went to Punta Palacia, Belize. He was there to actually help but for his image not for the fame. He had enough fame he didn't need or want any more. He was an artist and lived in the city but he felt like he couldn't breath there and he has always wanted to do more. Not for himself but for others he felt he could help.

Kate is a volunteer that has been in Belize for almost two years, she loves it there and loves being able to help people in any way possible. When the new group of celebrities get there she is tired of having to always deal with them. They pay to come out to "help" when in reality they do nothing and just wait for the press to get there to help there image more then anyone else.

Kate automatically puts Sage in with just like the rest of them, and frankly she is not sure if she really wants to deal with him. She soon realized that he is nothing like them at all. He wants to help, more then that he wants to make a difference.

Sage is attracted to Kate like he has never been to any one before its like a pull she has on him and he doesn't want to break it any time soon. It heats up quickly between them. He wants to do it right and treat her the way she deserves. He wants more then just a two week fling. They find themselves weaving there lives together in more then just sex and its a beautiful sight.

They start as a hot sexual fling the almost instantaneously makes them both realize its more and they want more. Two weeks isn't long enough and they find the end coming quickly! This is where it starts to get even better!!! Can they make it work out in the real world? Is it worth trying or should they just leave it as the best two weeks of there lives? You want to know?? Well guess what you NEED to read it to find out!!! Trust and believe either way you will not be disappointed in this one!!

A New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance

New York Times Bestselling Author
Melissa Foster

Published by World Literary Press

Release March 3, 2014

Kate Parello runs a volunteer program in Belize for Artists for International Aid, where she deals with self-centered artists who use the program as a means to repair their marred reputations. She loves the country, the people, and what AIA stands for, but too many diva volunteers have turned her off to press-seeking celebrities altogether and left her questioning the value of the volunteer program. When she meets incredibly handsome and charming Sage, he stirs emotions she hasn’t felt for ages, even though he represents the things she despises.
Laid-back artist Sage Remington escapes his wealthy lifestyle in the Big Apple for a two-week journey of self-discovery to figure out how a guy who has so much can feel so empty. When he meets ultra-organized Kate, who lives her life the way he’s always dreamed of living his, the attraction is too hot to ignore, but Sage is there to figure out what’s missing in his life, not to find a woman.
Every look, and every late-night chat in the romantic jungle brings them closer together, but Sage can barely think past stripping away Kate’s misconceptions about him. Kate fights him every step of the way—even though she finds it hard to ignore the strikingly handsome, generous-to-a-fault artist who wants to do nothing more than right the wrongs of the world—and love her to the ends of the earth.

Stuck in Between (Bound by Your Love) by Blakely Bennett Review

This story was something else all together! Jacqs is in a on again off again relationship with Bond, she loves him and keeps trying to make it work all the while Bond sleeps with everything that walks. Bond still wants Jacqs to be with him but cant be with her only, when Jacq finally realizes he will never change she knows its time to just end it while she still can.

Red is Bonds best friend, he has watched from the sidelines of Jacqs and Bonds relationship all the while silently pinning for Jacqs. He knows he loves her and is tired of the way Bond treats her so he finally decides to make his move before its too late.

Jacqs is shocked when she finds of Red liked her, they have spent so long "hating" each other that she was shocked when he came onto her. But when he does it shocks her even more that she likes it, she likes him and wow is the chemistry insane! They were so HOT together I think my pages were melting together.

When Bond finds out all hell breaks loose. Bond wants her back and wants to "try" to be with just her but that's not good enough for Jacqs especially because she has fallen for Red. Now this is when things get interesting!! Does she have to choose? and if so which one does she want to take the plunge with. I was so drawn into this book I didn't want it to end.

The scenes were steamy and all around dripping with sex! This is a must read!! Don't go without this one it is for sure to make your day much brighter.

Jacqs is a twenty-eight year old woman caught up in an on again, off again relationship with Bond, who is her best friend and the one who causes her the most heartache. She succumbs, yet again, to his powerful charisma, but vows not make it into more than it is, a great night of sex.

Bond, too sexy for his own good, wants Jacqs for himself as he “dates” his way through the female population of South Florida. He selfishly doesn’t see the conflict of interest.

Red, Bond’s best friend, has watched Bond take Jacqs for granted for way too long and soon stakes his own claim on her.

Will Red and Jacqs budding relationship pull apart their tight-knit group of friends and will Jacqs survive being Stuck In Between.

Stuck in Between - Chapter Three

Blakely Bennett grew up in Southeast Florida and has been residing in the great Northwest for over eight years. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a degree in psychology, which accounts for her particular interest in crafting the personalities, struggles, and motivations of her characters. She is an avid reader of many genres of fiction, but especially erotica and romance. Writing has always been her bliss. She is attracted to stories of self-struggle and ultimate recovery.

Blakely is married to a wonderful, loving and supportive husband, also a writer, who helps to keep her grounded. She is a mother, a communitarian, a lover of music (always on while she is writing—thank you, Pandora), and a good friend. An advocate of love and female empowerment, she is a facilitator for a women’s group. She loves to walk and hike for exercise and finds that, since moving to Seattle, WA, she is now one of those “crazy” people who walk in the rain.

Stuck In Between (erotic romance) is her 5th novel. She is also the author of the dark erotic suspense, My Body Trilogy (My Body-His, My Body-His (Marcello) & My Body-Mine) and co-authored the contemporary romance, The Demarcation of Jack with her husband, Dana Bennett.

Last of the Red-Hot Cowboys: Hell's Outlaws by Tina Leonard Review

This book took place in Hell, Texas, its a small town with 98% males. Judy the town mayo gets this crazy idea that she is going to get a group of women together from out of town and make a hell's belle's bull fighting team.

Trace is one of the best at what he does and he will NOT get caught up in Judy's plan no matter what she throws at him. Even if her name is Ava and she is smoking hot and makes him crazy!

I loves trace even though he is a hard head cowboy that is kinda stuck in his ways. I loved all the extra characters too! Trace's "brothers" and Ava's other team mates. It seemed like it was going to be a perfect start to a series!

I LOVED some of the stuff Trace came up with when talking to Ava   "I think I'm in love with your mouth."   I just about died when Trace seemed to keep putting his foot in his mouth around her.

I enjoyed Ava too she is a no nonscene kind of girl and needed this job she was not going to let some MAN get in her way even if he was sex on a stick! I didnt quite like how the Outlaws went behind Trace's back after they talked him into not training Ava but I see where it helped in the story! This is a western romance that just might be hotter then Texas in summer.

Beautiful Failure (Beautiful #1) by Mariah Cole

Title: Beautiful Failure
Author: Mariah Cole
Genre: New Adult
Publication Date:December 17, 2013

If you're looking for a heartwarming story about a girl who falls deeply in love with a troubled boy who changes her life--a sob story with pretty metaphors and a million ways that'll tell you how "broken" she is, STOP. Don't read another word of this.

I'm not that type of girl.

My name is Emerald Anderson and I'm not going to bullshit you: I flunked out of college after my sophomore year, I've been fired from every job I've ever taken, and I've never had a fully functioning relationship in my life.

I wish I could say that I had a cheerleader in my corner, someone who says, "No, Emerald--You're great and you are good at something!" but I don't. My grandparents are completely oblivious to my life, and my mother's dying words to me were "You're going to end up just like me one day. A beautiful nothing."

She was right.

As I decide to start my life over and take two jobs that will forever change me--one from the inside, and one from the outside, I keep my mother's words close to my heart so I can keep the sexy and mysterious Carter Black away.

He's the first man who's ever pursued me, the first man who seems bent on finding out why I am the way I am, but he's wasting his time.

I'm not broken. I don't need to be fixed. I'm perfectly fine being a beautiful failure...

Beautiful Failure was just that, this is not your typical romance that seems to be going around right now. Emerald had a hard life her mom was not so much a mother as she was a wanna be best friend, that was more messed up then any one. Her childhood consisted of her mother Leah had a rough life she was a prostitute and passed on certain values to Emerald such as "Do not make friends, make sponsors"  and that looks are more important than anything else. When something makes you feel like your going to cry suck it up and put more mascara on.

When Leah takes her own life Emerald is forced to go live with her grandparents she never met. She goes to college and flunks out after some crazy stuff goes down. (don't wanna give to much away) She has job after job never being able to keep anything longer then a few weeks if that.

When she meets Carter Black I don't know what to think at first, but soon feel in love with him. He was sexy, cool, confidant, sweet, a gentleman and much more all thrown into one hot as hell package. They go through ups and down you never really know how it is going to work out but it keeps you wanting more.

I was praying everything was going to work out for them Emerald deserves a happily ever after for once but not every gets what they wont. Emerald grows as a person from someone who drank and used drugs all the time because at first that was how she was the only time her mother would pay attention to her, to someone who was growing as a person and someone she wanted to really be.

I am not going to give anything away but can anyone else say OMG WHAT A ENDING?? lol Can't wait to see what else Mariah Cole has up her sleeve!!

Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe by Rebecca Raisin Review

This was such a cute little book. It was rather short it took me a couple hours to read but it didn't feel like many short stories do. I was happy with the story and everything Rebecca Raisin was able to put into it. I didn't feel as if I was missing something or needed more from the story.

I loved Lil and CeeCee they were hilarious and made me want to be friends with them. Lil owns a cute little cafe and is in a relationship with Damon who has such a darling daughter named Charlie.

When Lil's no good ex husband comes back to town wanting cash was worried it was going to get ugly but I loved how it turned out and how a you felt like you were right there with them in a small town full of love and people that had each others back.

This was definitely a cute read, its one of those feel good stories when you just want a change from the standard romance and want something that feels like it could happen to anyone. Loved it! I love how no matter what the story Rebecca has a way of just making you feel good!

Book 1: Vengeful in Love (Natalie Hall & Alex Damon) – Free!
Book 2: Reunited in Love (Kerri Wilson & Ethan Lloyd)
Book 3: Redemption in Love (Amandine Monroe Lloyd & Gavin Lloyd)
Book 4: Sweet in Love (Brooke de Lorenzo & Pete Monroe -- out March 2014)

I didnt quite know what I was about to read when I started this one. I loved Vengeful in Love book 1 and I was worried this would not live up to my expectations. With that being said I was so mistaken! I think I liked this one even more if it is possible.

Kerri was a hard cookie to figure out. I kept wanting to shake her so she would see what was in front of her and to make her stop making her and Ethan's relationship seem so meaningless. Ethan knew that if he was to keep Kerri around it was going to take work but he was willing to work ten fold to make it happen and to make sure she couldn't run away again.

Kerri did not have a easy life that is for sure. With all the heart break in her past I could see why she was the way she was. Which made me want the best for her even more, sometimes I felt like she was her worst nightmare. She couldn't just allow herself to be happy and make the most of her life. She was always ready to run if needed. I think it made me want to root for her even more.

I really liked Ethan as a character we got a glimpse into him in book one and I wasn't sure how I was going to like him I mean he did almost ruin Alex and Natalie but I really did LOVE him. I loved everything about this book!! Nadia put some magic voodoo in her books that makes you not be able to put them down!! A definite MUST READ!! Although I would say you don't have to read book one to know what is going on I would say YOU SHOULD! Cause you will love them both!!
